Isn't It Suppose to be Scary?
Better take a short break now to discuss one of the more important bits in this deck, and the one that causes the greatest concern among new seekers. That being the scary cards. There aren’t any. If there were, wouldn't there be a spider, or a monster card? The Tarot can only be as scary as life itself, and no more. C’mon, there is fear enough in this big world without the cards wanting to make it worse. The discipline of the Tarot is aimed toward progress, as life should be. Unwarranted fear is counter-productive and therefore non-progressive, unless, of course, you believe it is progressive to become more and more scared. Fear is horribly misused, and should only be employed to avoid actual physical harm and to help lift cars off of little kids. After carefully reading, and understanding all safety precautions, it should be shut off and stored properly. It can get you into a lot of trouble, otherwise. Three cards in particular give cause for pause. They include The Towers, look out it'z The Devil, and, of course Mr. D(Death). Grow up, will ya? These three stages in development are as vital to the soul as immunizations are to the body. They only sting for a moment, they will make you a safer seeker, and once studied closely you should feel at ease. These three cards should be looked forward to, rather than dreaded. Personally, I feel the Hierophant, (False Gods in this deck) to be the closest thing to a scary card, but most would probably not agree.
