Your curiosity has brought you into the realm of the fully restrained. Many cannot appreciate the sheer beauty of a completely subdued human form. These figurines are greatly desired by those who are masters and submissives in the art of bondage. Devices of restraint, suspension and exclusive rope trickery have been represented by individual works. Were that more photographs were saved of particular carvings. BondageBabes© are by far, my most requested endeavors. These pieces, for some reason are loved and appreciated much more by women than men. It must refect on the beauty of this subject, but it seems these days that most civilized men are uncomfortable with the idea, and especially the beauty of submission and dominance. Too much the pity. These examples have been produced in 3.5", 5", and 9" sizes so far. After that it gets harder to find single blocks of stock that can be architectually spread out that far.
Here is a rear view of a different member of the same design carved in red bubinga. The many free standing details demand that these be produced from very hard stock, from the detailed restraining belts and/or cuffs, and the bonds themselves to the incorporation of the submissive's very own hair as a restraining impliment. Pay careful notice to the placements of the spreader bars and the ropes which wind their way about the sculptures, and begin to enjoy their primal attraction. These models have been carved to represent many different ethnicities with fair accuracy. These were simply the only ones photographically available for this variation of this page. All examples to date have been female in gender. Is that a challenge? A wooden block is selected for the particular details it will be expected to reveal, and so grain here is very important. A photo, if used, is transfered into a line sketch by my hand, and is then transfered onto all six sides of the block. A clever method of sawing produces the basic blank, ready now for carving. Blades, rifflers and rotory machines are used in the fashioning of the finished form, allowing muse and whimsey to guide me through to uniqueness. All pieces are lovingly hand rubbed to a high sheen and never stained.
There is something about carvings-in-the-round that becon a viewer to participate by picking up and examining. That is the reason that there is no base to the rather compact little dramas represented at upper left and right. The standing model at left, which was made this time from South American purpleheart is actually a set of sculptures which are bound together, appropriately enough, as one. Here you see a base, and an upright with perpendicular spreader bars all manufactured from seperate grain suited pieces of wood. These woods hardness does come at a price, non-financial. Hardness interperets into brittleness, so one must ironically enough, be careful of rough handling and especially dropping.
With periodical dusting, preferrably with a can of compressed cleaner air, all in this series should last many lifetimes, to the never ending delight or embarassment of your descendants, if any. THERE IS A LINK AT THE TOP TO PURCHASE ORIGINALS
